Theatre Program
Fostering Imagination has partnered with the Ruskin Group Theatre and the Pasadena Playhouse New Generations Program to create a comprehensive Theatre Program for foster youth between 13-19 years of age to encourage creativity, imagination and commitment. This course introduces youth to the theatre through a variety of theatre exercises, core activities and live theatre experiences at the Pasadena Playhouse and other local theatres and culminates with youth performing with mentors in a live theatre performance.

Youth may only participate in the summer workshops upon completion of the Theatre Program. The content of the summer workshops change every summer. For example, in 2007, F.I. invited guest speakers from the Industry such as agents, make-up artists, costume and set designers and professional actors to discuss various topics and teach youth about the numerous opportunities available to them and how to explore these opportunities in theatre, film, television and commercials. In 2008, F.I. youth will be invited to participate in a Documentary Filmmaking Program.
